Just getting this one started, I'll do some more research and put down anyone else that I find soon.
Gene Lamont - Played for the Detroit Tigers, managed the White Sox and Pirates, currently 3rd Base coach for the Tigers.
Rick Short - Played 11 seasons in the minor leagues and one in Japan before playing his first game in the major leagues in 2005. He then played 4 more seasons in Japan. He played in 11 major league games, with a .400 batting average (6/15), and played in 1290 minor league games with a career .317 batting average. He is currently a scout for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Yup, that's a pretty good reference. I was mostly going for Western players who are still involved in baseball, which is why I didn't list all of those guys. I tried to stay away from listing everyone who ever played; it's no big deal to list all the Leathernecks who ever played in MLB, but if I tried to apply that to football, that'd be a pretty substantial list. I will go ahead and add Rick Short, though, since he's still involved (a scout for the Diamondbacks).
My next step, if I can find the time, is to dig through rosters and coaching staff listings for all the minor league teams out there, and see if there's any WIU alumni listed there.
Side note, probably a lot of you know this, but Paul Reuschel lives in Macomb now. His wife is the school superintendent, and I see them around town every so often. We usually sit near them at the WIU baseball stadium to watch 4th of July Fireworks, and I was a groomsman in their daughter's wedding (she was marrying a good friend of mine). Got to meet Paul's brother Rick at the wedding reception.
