Hoping to make the Valpo game. Sounds like 101 intends on having a great time- taking Friday off to recover.
They have a new coach, and come off a bad year. WESTERN should dominate early, and coast from there. If it's a battle, it might be a long year. However, I SEE A 45 10 SCORE- WESTERN VICTORY.
Weather should be good.

Field conditions for the Thursday night game may not be ideal.
Rain is due into Macomb on Wednesday. Some areas may get very heavy rain (1-3 inches). So the field could still be soggy on Thursday night.
The rain is suppose to be out of here before the Thursday night game.

I am expecting good weather, a good crowd somewhere in the neighborhood of 10K, and a good outcome, My guess would be a 38-10 win for the good guys.
Yeah, I'm taking Friday off L'Face. I typically get up at 4:30 for work and this gives me the option to be less responsible on Thurs.
GO NECKS beat down the Crusaders.

The east coast hurricane (Earl) has impacted our weather in the midwest.
The front was to have passed thru Macomb today. But it has stalled out as a stationary front still to the west of Macomb due to the presence of the hurricane.
So the rain that was to have passed thru on Wednesday is still west of us. Looks like it will now move thru on Thursday.
Both Quincy TV channels (7 and 10) are saying that Thursday could have some severe weather as the front finally moves thru.
I am hoping for the best, but Thursday could be a wet day.
The Macomb area got 2 inches of rain in the overnight storm that came thru late Tuesday night. So Hanson Field may be a bit soggy.
If the game would have been held on Saturday, the forecast would be much better. Saturday will be sunny with a high of 75.
So better plan on bringing rain gear to the game.
Let's Go WESTERN!!

Weather Update:
After a completely overcast morning, the skies cleared in Macomb at Noon. It's now sunny at 1PM.
The sun may actually increase the instablity in the air. That could result in some t'storms.
But for right now, it's nice.
Best to prepared for any rain that may come thru this evening.
Let's Go WESTERN!!

I noticed in the MVFC Head Coach's Conference call that Hendrickson mentioned that Ray will start and Flowers will be the next one in there. I thought that Marva Carley would be the #2 in the mix at RB. Any news on that?
Any other news on how the offense has taken to the new offensive system? I like the no huddle concept, I can't even count how many times we were just bringing a play into the huddle and there was about 9 seconds left on the play clock.
