I was wondering if Coach Crane and the WBB team has a Twitter account?

Does Western have a policy, that doesn't allow coaches to have their own Twitter account?

Many schools use Twitter as a recruiting tool.

Football defensive coordinator, Tom Casey, has a twitter account...wiudefense. He posts to it regularly and it very positive and upbeat. Currently, he's "tweeting" daily on spring practice. He also keeps a website updated at http://wiudefense.wordpress.com/

I'm sure there are others.

Referred to as "Twittergate" by some of the Macombie Homies. Coach McKay, after a particularly galling loss, decided to Twitter a friend. She ripped her players in a most unprofessional way and personal too and hit send. Turns out she wasn't Tweeting a friend but the public account which the players started to read while still on the bus home from the trip. Players and parents very upset. Word has it TVA even called his girl in to slap her wrist. Guess what? No more Twitter account, or at least I haven't seen it since then. If you tool around this site I think there are some references to it. Sorry to assume you knew, I didn't mean to cut you out.

It is odd that Coach McKay got reprimanded for making personal insults against her players, but Coach Crane does this on a regular basis. Perhaps is it only because it made the public twitter waves and thus was so overt, compared on in practice, at games, and one-on-one in her office.
