There was a question asked, but never really answered, in the Coach Crane thread.

Has there been a change in the mental toughness of players the past 5-7 years.

I do think there has been a change. So many players are spoiled into thinking they are great players, when all of a sudden they are thrown into a situation, where they aren't getting playing time or not the star player, they can't handle it.

Some of today's players think being mistreated is not getting your way.

Students/players may have changed, however, the demeanor Crane exhibits on the floor is still not appropriate. And the lack of her ability to communicate with the players is showing as more and more players leave and fewer and fewer wins are achieved. So yes, blame the parents for a change in student/player attitude, but as the Coach, she is in charge of recruiting and should either be able to make better recruiting choices or else do what other coaches, big name ones too have done, make some adaption in their coaching/yelling style. And never are personal attacks an appropriate manner or teaching, which what a coach is supposed to be.

The bottom line here is that Coach Crane is solely responsible for her behavior. She cannot blame the players, their parents, or the fans.

The long-supporting fans of the women's game have shown their disapproval of Coach Crane's behavior as reflected in the falling attendance at the games.

It is clear that there is a need for a change.

It's time for Coach Crane to go.

huskie is wrong.

I have never seen Coach Molinari call a time-out and scream at a player to "Sit Down" while pointing at the bench. That behavior is not acceptable.

I agree it is pretty bad when a parent goes to a public message board and complains about their daughter's coach. Have your daughter show some balls and handle the situation herself. Have a face to face meeting with Coach Crane. Why can't an adult do that?

This is college basketball. This isn't little league or club ball anymore.
