The WIU Leatherneck Women were defeated by SDSU this afternoon, 39-67. We trailed by 11 at half-time, but SDSU came out hot as fire from 3 pointville.
Hard fought game in front of a LOT of blue and yellow!
I'm not sure who's playing it, but I can hear the WIU fight song for the women as they leave the court.
Safe travels back to Macomb, Leathernecks. You did us proud.

Yep, season is over, including Todd's postgame interview.
Again, as Todd said, the issue is the ball not going in the hole.
Now's time to plan for next year. Hopefully there will be some changes that emphasize scoring. Teams that score win.

TBHM, I think you're a good guy, no matter what the people in North Dakota say about you.
Please do everything you can to make sure Oral Roberts gets beat now, ok?

I do have to agree that the bleeding has got to stop when it comes to the loss of recruited players. You just flush valuable teaching time down the toilet along with game experience and program buy-in! Players have got to believe in the process, the program, no matter what! Teams are developed over time, which takes time to gel just like jello in the frig. I am not saying Crane needs to go immediately, instead I am just saying that if the ship can't be righted it is probably time for someone else to take a turn at the helm. We will know in a year.

I agree NecksFanSince71, the bleeding has to stop.
The family concept where everyone supports one another through thick and thin that FormerPlayer notes as having been there when she played is certainly not there, or at least not apparent. And I definitely get the sense that 1) recruiting is not going real well this year and 2) not all of the freshmen will be back.

Bluehatman,
Congrats on your OT victory over ORU for the repeat championship. It will be interesting the see the NCAA tourney draw when released on the 15th.
Best of luck as you advance to the dance, and hopefully, keep in dancing.
