Way to go 'NECKS !!!

A win at home against a good UMKC team is awesome. WIU has won five of the last six.

WIU has lost 7 games by an average margin of 4.4 points these teams include NDSU, SDSU, Oakland, IPFW (twice), EIU, and UMKC. The combined RPI of the seven losses is 214keep in mind this is out of 347 NCAA D-I teams tracked on realtimerpi.com Actually very respectable.

I am sorry I was unable to attend the game I was working up till 6:30. I am so freakin' happy though for this squad, the seniors, Coach MO, (which by the way I follow Bradley BB and some folks there wonder if he was let go to soon) and the momentum this puts us in for a challenging road swing in the Dakotas and a date with destiny in Sioux Falls.

Thank you for representing your University with honor and distinction David and Quenton.

Thank you to the entire team. Thank you MO for restoring dignity to WIU basketball.

I hope I wasn't unclear in my post, Damn we have won a whole heck of alot of games lately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My point with the losses was, that HEY, these were games that we were Ballin' in and were really competitive, I really just wanted to put a little perspecitve on some of the losses and how close I felt we were to transisioning 4 point losses into WINS.

To Quote a good friend of mine (NFS71) "hope springs eternal."

I think in the next four years we will see TONS of improvement in all facets of sports at WIU.

Very nice win last night. This team is peaking at the right time and playing as a team. Ceola has a very good chance of making all-conference and James has to be the most improved player. I would say the bottom sections were 85 % full last night for biggest crowd of the season. I hope next year they have to use the upper sections for first time every game like was during the 80's !

HUGE win for WIU last night. Crowd was the biggest I've seen in a while. The student section was loud all game. The crowd was very supportive of the team and Coach Mo last night (He even went into the middle of the student section for a picture afterwards). If we can win a game or two on the road, we could match up with ORU very well in the tourney and could very easily win that game. If we win and get OU in round 2, we have a good chance to win that game as well--the only team I don't think we match up against is IUPUI. Best of the the rest of the way, Coach Mo and 'Necks!!

The picture of Coach Mo up in the stands surrounded by students in pink says it all. Read John Bohnenkamp's article in the Burlington Hawkeye. Last night's game must have been a lot of fun for everyone. We can realistically beat both Dakotas and arrive at the Summit League Tournament as the 6th seed. That would be a heck of a season on all counts.
