After the first media time out when still tied up, this game became a true butt kicking that had not happened in Coach Mo's era until last night @ Western hall. Will be interesting to see how the players respond Thursday Night at home against So. Utah. Hard to believe IUPUI got beat Thursday in O.T. by IPFW. Go WIU, sometimes you just don't match up well against certain teams so don't finish # 7 and have to face them in Game 1. Finish # 6.

That was a real blow-out game. It was very sad to look up at the big scoreboard and see it giving a 62-29 score.
It seemed like only a few players came ready to play. One of those who did was David Nurse. David graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in December and is now in graduate school working on a MBA. So bravo to him!
David really wants to make it to the conference tournament. So I hope the others on the team can help him reach that goal.
We have our "southern" road trip this week: at Oral Roberts on Thursday and at Centenary on Saturday.
Let's Go WESTERN!!

| The IUPUI game was the worst game we have played on our home court all year. I have to agree that this is a team we do not match up against well and hope we do not have to play them again. It will be interesting to see a match up with IUPUI in the future though, when Coach Mo has his team playing well. Coach stated that this is a game he will remember and I think some of that sentiment comes from what happen in the last 7 minutes of the game (thrashing?). With IUPUI up by more than 30, WIU only had 2 starters on the floor in Nurse and Clark. The other 3 players for Western were a walk on, and 2 young freshman who don't normally see alot of minutes. (It was now a learning experience and not a game anymore.) 4 of IUPUI's starters (Young, Glenn, Pettiford, and Nobles) continued to play till there was only about a minute left in the game. Yes they can do that but Coach Mo has the right to return the favor sometime and I hope he gets the opportunity. I also was not impressed by the antic's of Glen on the bench. I don't remember any other players yelling during WIU's free throw attempts. The foul language by the players as well as the coach were not fun to listen too either. All in all we got the crap kicked out of us by a better team, but we can only hope this can be a lesson learned and not let this happen again.

beammeupscottie: have to agree with you. I certainly hope we can do just retribution back to IUPUI in the near future. I think they are still upset we beat them at their place last year.
