It was a valiant effort tonight against Southern Utah. After the 1st half I'd given up as they were down by 20, but the girls held tough anchored by a great performance by Jordan O'Brien. She tied it to force it into overtime, then tied it again to force a 2nd overtime, but then they ran out of gas despite Jordan's 25-point effort.

Crane was reasonable on the post-game interview, but oddly blamed it on the the final overtime, with only a comment or two about the first half. That's were the game was lost and there were no apparent coaching changes heard via radio. She also complained that the bench only scored 11 or 13 (I forget which) although in a earlier game, she thought that was good.

But most definitely kudos to the girls for really fighting back from what, as a fan, I considered a sure big loss going into half-time.

For the girls, I hope they can do well at UMKC.

I agree, you have to blame the first half, they came out sleepwalking or something, but Leslie must have lit a fire under them at half. I was surprised they came back to tie it and send to overtime. I had to leave after the game went into overtime and I was disappointed to see they lost I figered they had the momentum so they pull it out. Anyway it was a gutsy comeback by the team and glad to see they are still fighting, when they could have hung their heads and dialed it in and lost by 30.

I just wish some adjustments could have been made within the first half. Call time out, get a T, just something to stop the pain.

Granted, maybe she didn't want to do it in public based on the heat she's been taking on this Board, but still, do something coach, don't just hang your head and wait till half-time.
