According to an athletics department employee, it was mentioned before the game that Eastern is wanting to leave the OVC, and wants in the Summit. I don't know - I assume- that request would include the MVFC too.
Maybe WESTERN could finally have a natural rival in the Summit!

But hasn't UND already been offered? That would even out the conference and adding EIU would make it an odd number, which wouldn't help scheduling. Also, might the conference presidents or conference office hold a grudge against EIU for leaving in the first place?
