| What happened to the humor request (talking about Coach Powers comment after his top player got hurt) for these postings? Neil Crane used to refer to Zane Teilane as "The Meal Ticket" or "The Paycheck" or something like that. Not quietly either. Neither of you obviously know Dave Powers or coaches like him or you'd know exactly where he was coming from. Lots of coaches would say the same sort of thing when their top player gets hurt or is ineligible. A great player makes a coach look good, the coaching for dummies is about the coach, not the remaining players. Think about it.

| Sure, it says something (and not good) about the coach. I guess I'd just like to think coaches, even in high school, were smarter than that. And while we could say, yeah, they are dumb, I don't think that's how the rest of the players on the team took it. Rather, it comes across not that I wouldn't look as good without a great player, but that without this great player this team is worthless. Two very different messages. As a coach we should be helping out players to improve. not demeaning them as a coverup for our inability to coach "regular" players.

Who asked for the "humor request" ? Did you hear about the little pony that walked into a bar ? The bartender says; you look a little sick today ! No I'm just a "little horse" !!!!!! HA.........I hope everyone had a nice Christmas ! Just listened to the women's WIU basketball game tonight againest Oklahoma St.; where did all that offense come from tonight ? Boy they really played good tonight and they came out shooting ! They only lost by 13 points but, Oklahoma state has horrible defense. I guess they give up 60 points a game. Hope the weather gets better so they can leave tonight !
Women's basketball is the best !
