Lyndi Thorman's name is not listed in the Box Score for Sunday's game at Purdue.
Did she not make the trip for some reason ?????
I was not able to listen to the radio broadcast of the game.
Does anyone have any information ?????

| I saw her walking on the square Friday and her arm was in a sling and I think some type of brace on her leg. Not sure about the brace, but her arm was in a sling.

| Well, I see she's left the team. The question is, is she moving up or (knowing her antics at Macomb) did she finally run into a coach who wouldn't let her get away with everything she wanted to do?????? Anybody got the skinny on this?

I see that Lyndi Thorman's name is indeed gone from the posted Roster at the Athletics Webpage.
I did see Coach Crane talking to Lyndi's grandparents at Wednesday night's men's game vs Truman State.
It would be interesting to find out why she is gone. She did start those 2 exhibition games in Macomb.

| I'll try to see what I can find out later today. I was told the other day that she had merely hurt her shoulder, but should be fine....nothing else was said.

| I found out that Thorman left the team. WIU put out a release to the media outlets evidently on Friday regarding the matter. Not a good start for Coach Crane who is probably already feeling some heat from losing players early over the past few years.

meganeck (11/21/2009) that is not good to hear, esp since she is a local girl.
I don't think it will have that much effect on the "locals". Anyone who lives in or near Macomb knows Lindy's background very well. Honestly? I'd bet the vast majority were surprised she managed to hang onto her scholarship at all - I, for one, figured Leslie would drop her like a hot potato when she got busted her senior year in high school.
So, what's the problem with Coach Crane? I truly figured this one was completely somebody calling Lindy's bluff and her not liking it. That's just my opinion, though.

Coach Crane's methods of fear and intimidation have worn thin with me.
I have been going to Women's Basektball games since the days of Coach Regina Miller and that wonderful 1995 team that went on to the NCAA Tournament.
If Coach Crane cannot change her methods, it will be time to let her go.
We certainly don't need that approach.
