Yeah, Our pal is leaving for Great Lakes (Navy).
He is a NIU grad, and decided to serve his country, very noble.
(By the way, the planets may be aligned, we have cameo posts from PIT and Leatherface within one week )

Thanks everyone.
Leave next Thursday for boot camp at Great Lakes. My A-school will be in Dam Neck, VA.
Go in as an E3 due to my degree. My rate will be an IS (intelligence specialist). Six-year commitment. I really wanted a job that gave me top secret clearance so i can do something with the NSA, FBI, etc. when i'm finished. After my first six months in i'll get automatic advancement to E4. Hope to get stationed in San Diego. My second and third choices after that would be Japan and Italy.

Will you receive training in "Arabic?" Seems like that is one of the necessary languages to understand these days! Good luck!
ps. If you really wanted to go into law enforcement from the get go you should have gone to WIU. It is one of the "big time' schools in that area! Oh well! To get security clearance they will send investigators out to interview you friends and family. Put us down as a positive reference!!!!!

Actually, going into college i wanted to go to law school but changed my mind between my junior and senior years at NIU so i started looking at Navy OCS.
I went to a small high school and wanted to go to a big university. That's one of the reasons why i chose to go to NIU.
