Well Im a little bit antsy to see who or if we get anybody signed.
I've read different articles on Jelani...One that he is already signed and others that state he is just a verbal.
Billy Mo has stated that he will announce his decision on signing day....
So we wait...
One or two "big time" juco guys would be nice...wishful thinking...maybe!
Hell..one or two "big time" freshmen would be nice..lol...

Maybe I'm just a bit paranoid, but since I really haven't heard much .. am just a lil' bit concerned.
We definitely need some big time players. Most noteably a BIG player in that group. They just have to have an inside game at some point.
Hopefully Coach Molinari will find one.
Am keeping my fingers crossed for announcements on signing day..

It has been awfully quiet out here on the outside. But I know the staff has been very busy and Coach Mo has been out on the road alot since the end of the season. I would think that a number of young men along with their parents would be attracted to a chance to spend 4 years with Coach.
Once again let me just say that Jim Molanari just plays his cards extremely close to the vest!!!!!!! Maybe I should say in our case "painfully close to the vest!"

A point guard that has drawn some interest from Western Illinois has started making his visits.
Kierre Greenwood, who played for New Creations Christian School in Indiana, visited Coastal Carolina over the weekend. Greenwood has drawn interest from the Leathernecks, as well as other schools.
Let's Go WESTERN!!

I was doing a little looking around about Kierre Greenwood....and came across this comment from one of the posters
over in Hawkeye country...
"Tom, you hit it on the head! Don't complain about competing with mid majors if this guy doesn't have an offer from Iowa....This would mean we ARE NOT competing with Western Illiois for the player. No offer=no competition
For the record though WIU's new coach is going after some studs...."

Thats kinda nice to hear about Coach Mo...

Loyal fan, I read the whole thing!!!! Isn't it funny that guys sit around talking about the fact that the Iowa coach might be recruiting an athlete that WIU might also be interested in and fretting about it to boot! Thats kinda similar I guess to all of the forlorn comments regarding recruiting efforts on this board.
I think Mo needs two more to complete this years group. I like Grebru, he's 6'10" with a definite upside. Mo's looking for athletes and he definitely seems to be one. Billy M., well I remember reading on the PJS Forum that one of the posters doubted he would go to WIU and that he would make a decision that was for Billy Mo. Seems like there was never a doubt and it will definitely give MO a chance to spend alot of the time with a son that he probably has not seen a lot of in the last couple of years. When it is all said and done, Mo is going to be good for WIU and WIU is going to be good for the Molinari family. A win win situation for sure especially when your middle son can stroke it from outside. I coached my daughter in travel softball for 4 years and its not going to be easy, but if they are both after it like it seems things will be just fine. So we got three so far and the sound of hammers on rock happens to be the firm foundation Mo is building at WIU. I think we are going to need another point guard to help Ceola.
All I can say is, ain't this a blast!" (Note: I am using slang to make a point!)

| Love what Coach Mo is doing with our program. I was at his first-ever press conference and he said, "you build a team with character" and that's what he's doing. Is Jelani Johnson officially signed?

necksfan...71
you crack me up...It was a hell of a read over there, huh!...I guess they forget he was/is being recruited by
Washington St, Colorado St, Hawaii....BUT they are worried about recruiting people WIU recruits... Wow...
Anyway...Id love to have him. He is what we need.
As for Jelani??? I've read where he is signed AND where he is a verbal. If it was ever "officially" announced
I missed it... I sure hope he is signed Or will get signed...I've heard and read alot of positive stuff on this kid.
More than anything..he would fit this system to a "T"...
thats all I got for now...hangin out in Indy at a Red Roof Inn...YEA! On my way to Virginia to play a couple shows
in NC this weekend...

GREAT news on the recruiting front ! Won't be long until WIU can finally start kicking some sand back in the faces of our opponents who have been beating us and beating us for 10 plus years now..... Sorry about that. I want to be positive from now on.
