I just checked out the 2008-2009 men's basketball roster on the Athletics Dept's web site. It only shows 6 players--all returning from last year's team.

Ceola Clark was listed. I had thought that he was going somewhere else, but maybe he changed his mind.

Looks like we need to find some more players before the first games in November.

One WESTERN. All Leathernecks !!

Go Leathernecks !!

Of the four freshmen fro last year, Clark was the most celebrated! I think Dumas and Johnson were great finds, especially Johnson who seemed to be coming on throughout the season. I was sorry to see them both go along with Washington, but they were DT's boys and wanted to play in DT's system or lack there of. Clark played at Warren and they play good defense and run a more organized offense which maybe one reason why Ceola stayed. I am not sure whether Mo will sign anyone else. He may make some use of walkons for practice. You can only realistically play 8-9 players in a game anyway. With the coaching staff set, I can see WIU landing some 2010 recruits in the near future.

PS. B-Ball, did you see the artist's rendition of the west side of Hanson Field in the football press guide? Funny that it has remained hidden for a couple of years. I really think it's time has come!

NF71 I saw the West side renderings in the media guide. Is that not the same rendering you have been displaying as your avatar all along?

Yep! A couple of years ago they put both the east and the west side renderings on line for just a couple of days and then they disappeared. I have the drawings for the west side if you are interested! They are not really easy to see, but you get the basic idea!
