I read recently - although I question it's accuracy- that UND and USD will become active members of the Great West Conference in 2012/2013. Have you heard this? Is this when their transitional period will end? I always figured they would want in the Summit.

Yes, their transitional period will end then. As of right now they are forming the Great West into an all sport mock conference with teams from all over country. They still want in the Summit but unless a major catastrophe happens they won't get in anytime soon.
