| Unless I am mistaken, it appears that no WIU baseball players were drafted. I believe that this has been the case since about 1994. Our talent level is getting better, but still not one player drafted. Even in-state teams who we are competitive with like Bradley and ISU had multiple players drafted. Stan seems to really hype his kids pre-season, and then gets no results.

It seems I have read about several players being drafted from Illinois universities/colleges over the past few years.Also, several I read about were even from some D2 schools, and some NAIA schools in Missouri/Kansas.
I really don't know anthing about the draft and how they evaluate players. You would think WESTERN would have a few drafted over the last few years.

I checked out Arkansas next opponent University of Louisiana Monroe, and according to their Media guide they have just three former Warhawks currently in the Pros. as opposed to Western's eight
ULM currently in the pros:
Chris Harris/ Carolina
Kevin Payne/ Chicago
Marty Booker/ Chicago
(I had no idea Marty Booker was a ULM guy?)
