It's interesting that the Courier's poll shows about 70%-30% saying that dropping the name was a bad idea.
So who really wanted it gone? I know who we've been told by the admin., but how do we know for sure? I haven't seen coaches come out and say "I was one who wanted it gone."

I have always heard that the name-unification idea came from Athletic Director Tim Van Alstine and Vice President Gary Johnson.
But I don't know if that is correct.

I heard that too, from more than one person.
Makes you wonder who really runs the school-Goldfarb or Van Alstine.
