I was wondering why the game was cancelled. It was a beautiful sunny day.

I'm at a loss to explain it 712. Maybe Bradley was afraid to come to Macomb and get beat, if they don't want to come here that's fine but it should be recorded as a forfeit and not a cancelation

Not only was the Bradley at WESTERN baseball game cancelled for Tuesday, but so was the Westerwinds softball game with Bradley that was suppose to be a double-header in Macomb.
These games could not have been cancelled due to the weather. So what's the real reason ???

| Neither one of the fields were tarped and when the morning rain hit, the fields were unplayable. Coaches call...know that BB hates to cancel, cant say the same for SB

Something does not make any sense to me. Rain was in the forecast for Tuesday, yet the fields were not covered ??????? How is that accpetable.
Someone sure screwed up. And as a result, WESTERN lost home games to one of its major in-state rivals.
Let's hope that immediate corrective action was initiated for the people responsible.

I agree WIU712, it was a lovely afternoon to be outside and watch some SB/BB; would have had alot of students in the stands too bc of the weather
not sure there was a reprimand, but would think the coaches would have been more cognizant of the weather forecast and have had the tarp down; i would also think that after all of the spring cancellations thus far, they would be itching to play and would have done what it took to play yesterday...little diamond dry could have gone a long way with the sun out and all

Okay, let me see, how many of you actually walked both fields???? And, has anyone ever thought that maybe Bradley looked at the day as iffffy and just thought the rental in that situation might not be worth it????
I have said this once before and I am going to say it again. If you go directly north, down the street from Al Boyer you hit the LeMoine River. Both fields are in the river's soak zone!!!!!! Which means that the water from the river in wet conditions tends to seep into the surrounding areas making absorbtion a little tougher than normal.
This is a perfect example of why science education is so important to today's youth. Why you ask????? It's so fans like us don't over react when the field is to flippin wet to play on!!! ie. Its not a conspiracy!!!!!!!!!
As Charlie Brown would say, "Ugh!"
Neckfan over and out!!
ps. You think I am crabby don't you!!!!!! Well I am not!!!!
