Miller Out As Lady Rebels Head Coach
Regina Miller spent 10 years as head coach at UNLV.

March 14, 2008


LAS VEGAS - Effective as of 5 p.m. on Friday, Regina Miller is no longer serving as head coach of the women's basketball team at UNLV.

According to Director of Athletics Mike Hamrick, this is a personnel matter and the University can make no further comment at this time.

Regina Miller took the Westerwinds basketball team to its only NCAA Tournament in 1995.

Regina made WIU Women's B-Ball relevant again after years of being a down trodden program much like our Men's current status. We need to find someone like Regina did for the women 15 years ago to turn things around for our men's program.

Seemed like she had a good record there, I'm sure that first round conference tournament loss didn't help things. She is a good coach so I'm sure she will get another chance, although she might have to be an assistant coach first.
