Update on rivals about Jordan Tassio... here is the pertinant stuff, looks promising:
Naperville (Ill.) North senior athlete prospect Jordan Tassio (5-foot-11, 214 pounds) was named as the State of Illinois Offensive Player of the Year this past fall by EDGYTIM/Rivals.com.
Tassio, who was also named as a consensus All State performer this past season, currently has one official visit set.
"I'm planning to take an official visit to Western Illinois on January 18th. I'm also going to try to schedule hopefully a few more visits as early as this week. Western Illinois has been really recruiting me hard and they are also looking at me for football and baseball."
Jordan Tassio has an offer from Western Illinois University.

| Merritt gave a verbal to New Mexico. He would have been a great one to get.

Rayon Simmons verbals to UNI.
What are they telling these kids over at ISU? Maybe they're telling them that they are going FBS or showing them pictures of the pretty stadium plans.

I think that is actually what Illinois State is doing with these new recruits. They have elaborate drawings and designs for a renovated Hancock Stadium. It is sorely needed as the existing stadium over there is a dump.
And their University President does have dreams of going FBS (formerly called 1-A).
One WESTERN. All Leathernecks !!
Go Leathernecks !!

Eric Bergman, 2 star OL/DL recruit, looks good for WIU. Here is the stuff we care about from the scout article:
"I was able to make an official visit this past weekend to Western Illinois," Bergman said. "My Dad and I made the official visit and I thought it went really well. I'm looking at maybe taking one more visit this upcoming weekend, but I'm definitely getting closer to making my final decision pretty soon."
Bergman talked about his impressions from Macomb.
"Everything at Western Illinois was pretty cool. Dan Zeller from Schaumburg was my player hot for the weekend and I got along great with him and the rest of the players and the coaches. I really liked it a lot at Western Illinois and now I'm going to just sit back for a few days and weigh my options. It was a completely different feel at Western Illinois compared to my last visit to West Point. The overall atmosphere is really good at WIU and I also liked the social life there, WIU is recruiting me as an offensive guard prospect."

Just got back from the Bradley ISU game in Peoria, Bradley won, I am happy.
ISU suffers from some severe inferiority complex. If they are leading players to believe they are going FBS, they are lying. WESTERN is many years closer to having a recruiting dynamo stadium than ISU.
ISU is an O.K. FCS school. They need to remember that. I sometimes hear (or read on boards). I'm thinking detatched from reality describes fans saying ISU is Going FBS. I guess they mean Full of Bull S**T.
Hey guys try winning the Gateway,or a FCS National Championship.
If any team in the Gateway goes FBS, I wonder if it wouldn't be Y town to MAC.
