Congrats to the Fighting Leathernecks on the big 81-75 win tonight against IPFW. I have a hunch that any team that puts up 80 points will win at least 80% of time. The ladies are getting it done.
Leathernecks prevail or die hard!

Big turnaround in the 2nd half for Western.
We scored 29 points in the first half and 52 points in the 2nd half.
A rather small crowd at 394. Maybe people were still "recovering" from Super Bowl Sunday.
Let's Go WESTERN!!

| Not exactly sure how they came up with 394 in attendance (even if they did count the players and team staff). This must have also included season ticket holder who didn't attend as there were definitely not 394 people in the stands, if even 394 in the building.

There was no Pep Band tonight. What's with that ????
There were no music events going on elsewhere on campus, so there should not have been any conflicts for the band.
Without the Pep Band, we had to listen to the music played over the PA.
Let's Go WESTERN!!

Not sure where the pep-band was, but a home Monday game after SuperBowl Sunday, has never been well attended. It also didn't help that just about every HS girls basketball team in the area started regional play last night.
People missed a nice comeback from the Leathernecks... Brittany pretty much "owned" #4 in the first 10-12 min. of the 2nd half. Also, those of us who were there got a pretty sweet "light back-pack" from game sponsor Cathy Early State Farm Ins.
I also want to thank Ben (Winterrowd), who was the side-line guy for the WIU football radio broadcast and my Macomb Bomber color-analyst for banking in a free-throw and 3pt FG during the Buffalo Wild Wings contest. Scored us some $5 BWW certificates... and as many wings as I can eat, it's definitely going to come in handy, haha.

It was a great game for Brittany Demery! It's good to see her having a great season. She was one of Coach Crane's "scapegoats" last season. It looks like she is having fun playing this year.
Cathy Early does a LOT for Western Athletics and the city of Macomb.
Thank you, Cathy!
