I addition to the "what" music is played (ideally should be multiple genres from different time periods to please the whole audience), the "when" is also import. It needs to fit the moment. If it is all scripted, I lose interest and run to the concession stand. But music was never a strong point for me so maybe I should shut up.

I agree, Seal.
At the most recent home game vs South Dakota, Western had just finished a run of 11 straight points. So S.D. called time out. The fans were on their feet cheering/yelling.
That would have been the perfect time to play something to keep the crowd's enthusiasm going--something like the Fight Song, for example.

If we are not going to have a Pep Band for the big Oral Roberts game, can we at least play some recordings from the Marching Leathernecks.
The marching band has several CD's. And I know that one of them has "Hot Time" and "Let's Go Necks" on it.
That would be more appropriate than "Louie, Louie".

| Maybe a sponsor can provide noise makers rather than cups, koozies, pizza cutters, etc.

TBird4Fun (1/10/2012) Maybe a sponsor can provide noise makers rather than cups, koozies, pizza cutters, etc.
Maybe as a backup plan, we should all come in our hiking/work boots so we can effectively and comfortably stomp on the bleachers.

Note to all Leatherneck fans:
The Western Hall bleachers make a lot of noise when they are stomped.

On the other hand, should the opportunity to "storm the court" arise tomorrow, maybe the Chuck Taylors would be more appropriate game wear. Flying in early afternoon. I think I will do a little pre-game warmup in the Rec Center so I am good and loose for the ORU game. I see that alumni can use it for a daily fee. I like that!
