So Milwaukee's losses were to Wisconsin, Drake, and Michgan State (13) and with a 6'4" inch Linfors they were going to be big time tough! Tell me Lindsay Carroll is not going to be fun to watch this year and in the future. Wow, the kid can shoot and has really good instincts going to the hoop and hitting the open team mate. So, not a step forward, but definitely not a step back! The best is yet to come!

Thought it might be a tough game for the Leathernecks, looked like they had alot of players returning. They are tall and athletic. WIU didn't get off to a good shooting game, when Western got close it seemed UWM would hit a 3. Liked that the girls never quit and Carroll was impressive for a freshman. She had 18 pts in 20 minutes which is pretty good. Need to shoot better with conference play coming up.

Right now the ladies have a habit of taking some quick shots, especially in transition! I don't mind a pull up jumper on the break but not when you are missing a couple of rebounders and you happen to be in 3 point land. Coach G mentioned the same thing when he talked about players having the freedom to pick their shots but also understanding when and when not to shoot. This of course will come along with better shooters which, with Carroll will make the Necks very dangerous in the future.

We definitely had a lot of hurried shots in the game with UW-Milwaukee.

Many times we would rush down the court and then fire something up from way behind the 3-point line.

This transition from Crane-ball to the more-open offense will take some refining. But it is definitely a positive move.

Let's Go WESTERN!!
