| Does anyone have any definitive info on Ronnie Morgan, Jerry Follot, or Billy Rush, who according to jucojunction.com have listed WIU as a school they all three are interested in, as well as others...Getting anyone of the three would be a plus for the front line considering they are all ranked in the jucojunction.com top 200 juco players.

| Im not a subscriber either but I might have to become one just to get some more info because Im quite curious. Ronnie Morgan is 6'6 and out of Texas ranked #100, Billy Rush is 6'5 and went to the same juco as Ricky Clayborn, who has signed with WIU, he is 6'5 and ranked #147 and Jerry Follot is 6'8, ranked #148 and went to Marshalltown CC in IA, but from what I found only played 5 games there...They all seem to be seriously athletic. Im hoping we can pick up at least one of em! Ronnie Morgan did play D-1 at LA Tech before hitting the juco route and Billy Rush was thought to be in immediate impact player at any low to mid major before going the juco route. Id definately like to see Billy Rush and Ricky Clayborn reunited at WIU. At South Suburban College, they averaged @ 15 pts, 8reb and 9pts, 9 reb respectively. Thats all I got....

I can tell you what the Jucojunction site says.
On Billy Rush.
http://jucojunction.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=47014
It lists South Florida, Saint Louis, NIU, EIU, WIU, UAB, and Minnesota all as interested but none apparently documented as offering.
Here are a couple reports from their articles-
From October/2008:
"Billy Rush: (SO) 6-foot-7 (192) from South Holland, IL. Rush played last season at Southeastern Iowa CC where he averaged 8.2 ppg and 4 rebounds for the Blackhawks.
"Rush has added some weight to his frame and has matured" said JucoJunction staff member Bret Swanson.
The small forward has already visited South Florida at the end of September. Billy has received interest from Florida International - will visit later this month, Eastern Illinois, UAB, St. Louis and Western Illinois.
"Billy is a very skilled tall guard that can play at the highest level," said Pigatti. "Billy's intensity level has really picked up and will only improve."
s Stan Heath works to put together his first full recruiting class at USF, prospect Billy Rush would seem to fit into the category of "system" signee. The junior college standout is cut from the same mold as many players Heath has succeeded with in the past.
PG Damier Pitts will follow his USF visit with trips to Marshall and S. Carolina.
"In a motion offense like they're going to run, he's a perfect fit," South Suburban College head coach John Pigatti said. "He's 6-7, but Billy's really a perimeter player. He can get inside and has good post skills, but he's very athletic. He's basically a big guard."
Rush will play for Pigatti this season after one year at Southeastern College in Iowa. A product of Thornridge High School in Chicago, Rush is now at home, playing five minutes from where he grew up. That proximity could change in a big way, however, if he decides to attend USF.
Rush made an official visit last weekend and could be close to a decision.
"He really, really liked it," Pigatti said of Rush's trip to Tampa. "He loves the staff, but he's still evaluating other options. His recruiting has a ways to go, although it's looking like he'll sign early (November) now. It was looking like the late period before."
Rush was a late bloomer in high school and didn't become a starter until his senior season. He ended up averaging 21 points and 7.5 rebounds, and was rated the No. 12 player in Illinois in 2005-06 by MidStateHoops.com. He also played just one summer on the popular AAU circuit. Grade issues sent Rush to Southeastern, where he averaged 8.3 points, 4 rebounds and 1.3 assists as a freshman last season. He shot 46-percent from the floor, 44-percent from three (27-62) and 65-percent at the free throw line.
"He's going to play a heavy role for us this year – inside and outside. He's going to have to score, rebound the basketball and defend," Pigatti said. "From what I've seen, he's definitely a Big East-caliber player. He's as athletic as any of the guards in the Big East – not the quick, little waterbug guys, but the guards his size."
At South Suburban, Rush will play for a program that Pigatti took to new heights last year. The Bulldogs went 26-10 and finished seventh at the NJCAA Tournament in their first national post-season trip since 1987. Pigatti also has some solid connections with USF. He was an assistant under current Bulls lead assistant Dan Hipsher, when Hipsher was the head coach at Akron.
"He was my boss at Akron and I've known Coach Heath, Coach (Byron) Samuels and the guys on that staff for a long time," Pigatti said. "They have a difficult job ahead of them at South Florida, but if you can get a blue chip player or two to come in, I think there's a ton of potential there. They're going to have a chance because they'll work hard and it's a staff that's really good at developing players."
On Ronnie Morgan:
http://jucojunction.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=69698
It lists Texas State, Western Carolina, Albany, Boston U., Northern Arizona, WIU, and Louisiana Tech as interested, but only La-Tech as offering.
Here are some clips from the premium articles on Morgan-
"Ronnie Morgan, the former South Oak Cliff High School standout, like Jackson, Morgan saw limited time as a true freshman, only averaging 1.4 points and 1.1 rebounds in 7.3 minutes a contest. He's also coming back to Texas as he's signed to play at Paris Junior College.
"Ronnie's a guy that brings experience at the Division I level, so hopefully he can provide leadership," said Paris head coach Ross Hodge. "He's been to the level that all of our other guys are trying to get to. Also, having won a state championship from a good high school program, I think he'll bring a winning attitude to the program. He does a lot of the little things that help you win ball games."
"Akin to former teammate Jackson, Hodge expects Morgan to play out the season before making any decisions on his college future."
"RONNIE is an athletic and strong paint player who uses his body well in the lane. He is a lefty who finishes well on the low block, has good spring around the goal, gets easy buckets with his active body in the paint, runs the floor very well and is a good rebounder. He is a physical player who will compete on defense and fight for loose balls. He is raw on the offensive end and as he improves his low post game, he will be a tough player to defend."
The Louisiana Tech site however DOES state that Western Illinois has offered, but then also lists UNC-Wilmington, Boise State, and others as interested.

Ricky Clayborn is said to be verbally committed, and signed LOI to WIU on 6/6/08

Talk about it in Illinois and Iowa message board
The South Suburban College Bulldogs outside of Chicago, IL have made great strides the past two seasons under head coach John Pigatti. The Bulldogs returned to the NJCAA National Tourney in Danville, IL for the second straight season under Pigatti. JucoJunction has the latest on one Bulldog signing on with a Division One school for next season.
SSC
Rickey Clayborn, (SO) 6-foot-4 (210) from East Chicago, IL, has made his choice.
"Rickey has signed with Western Illinois University and new head coach Jim Molinari for next season. Rickey really has a great knack to rebound on the ball on both ends of the floor," said Pigatti.
Rickey averaged 9.4 ppg and 9.1 rebounds for the Bulldogs this past season.
Clayborn joins teammate Elijah Cunningham (Tennessee Tech) and guard Larry Swann (undecided) as potential Division One players next season."
Jerry Follot (one "t", not two)
is said to have an offer from Morehead State and interest from Evansville, Tennessee State, and WIU.

Windy,
Thanks for all of the information. I don't think we want to sign too many more of these juco players no matter what our numbers are for next year. I'd love to have a couple of good recruits sign in the fall and I think thats what will happen. The young assistant coaches both have D1 experience at the major and midmajor level and Mo should send them out to recruit as much as possible while he coaches the team. Its beginning to get very interesting around here!
