Two fine additions to the Gateway and Summit. Looks like NDSU has been a little stronger than SDSU. Football, men's BB, men and women indoor champs in track. Very strong program athletic program.
SDSU has a fine fan base, and demonstrated many success's too.
Congrats to both schools.Let's see how they do this spring.

Yes, I agree Leatherface. SDSU NDSU great schools great athletics. SDSU having a mis-step out of the gate with BB, but hey we are usually bringing up the rear so maybe we can encourage each other.
Was unsure initially how things would play out with these two schools that we now share a home with in the Gateway and Summit. However, both schools have exceeded my expectations. Both could have easily made the transition a decade earlier IMO.
This comming Gateway season will be exciting!

| 101- regarding your statement that NDSU or SDSU could have made the transition earlier- I agree. I'm sure bluehatman won't agree, but, I bet we will say the same about U of North Dakota and U of South Dakota once they move up.IMHO

Forever between Minnesota and the two Dakotas there was the lone D-1 school up there.
Very shortly there will be five D-1 schools and still Minnesota with just the one.
