Hey Leatherneck Fans!
This message is for you WESTERN fans going to the Sept 8th game vs Illinois in Urbana:
The WESTERN Band will be making the trip over to play for the game. In addition, they will make an appearance and perform at the pre-game social at the WESTERN Alumni Associaton tent.
The Alumni Association will be hosting a pre-game social from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM on game day. The tent will be north of Kirby Avenue, along Oak Street, west of the stadium.
So if you are heading over to the game, make plans to stop by the Alumni Tent and listen to the Marching Leathernecks perform before they head over to the stadium.

Sounds like a good time all around. Wish we could attend. Hoping WESTERN can hang with Illannoy- make it a memorable game- win or lose. Too bad the Illness team of a couple of years ago couldn't be playing this years WESTERN squad. Apparently the team from Urbana looks to be tough this year.

Yes, Illinois looks tough and Zook is expecting a much improved year. But the necks will be ready and give the Illini all they want.Remember last year at #5 ,11-1 Wisconsin,our guys played very tough and the game could have much closer without a couple of turnovers. We need a huge following to this(and every)game. But it starts with SDSU on the 30th.we need to get off to a good start this season and beat the jacks in the opener.
